It’s only fitting, after our visit to the car museum, that we pick up some classic shakes.
There aren’t enough nice things to say about Shake Pit. The food is amazing and the shakes keep you coming back. If you ever find yourself in Bradenton, be sure to make a quick stop.
Plenty of outdoor seating, and even an enclosed area during summer rainy season.
Bubblegum Milkshake – may sound weird, but it tastes just like bubblegum ice cream, but without the annoying pieces of gum. So good!
Burgers are made with your choice of toppings.

The Sarasota Classic Car Museum is a must see for anyone remotely interested in cars. The time it takes to tour the museum depends on your interest. It took us about an hour and a half. There are over 80s cars on display, as well as a few motorcycles, boats, and old arcade games. There’s also a case full of old cameras in the gift shop area. Be sure to check out the cars in the building around the corner, most of them are for sale.
FYI, the building is basically an oversized garage; it smells of gasoline and is quite warm in the summertime.
Please enjoy some photos:
Paul McCartney’s car
John Lennon’s car
Assortment of cars on display
Luigi loves Lightning McQueen so much, he got a paint job.
Mr. Toad even has a car on display.
These windows would scare me.
These are some of the cars we saw, for sale, in the other building around back. Definitely worth a look!
